Ex nR (Restricted Breathing – Non-Sparking Protection)

Ex nR is a type of protection method under IEC 60079-15 for electrical equipment used in Zone 2 hazardous areas. The "n" stands for non-sparking, while "R" refers to restricted breathing, meaning the enclosure is designed to prevent the entry of explosive gases, reducing the risk of ignition. 

PESO Certification of Pyrotech

Pyrotech Technologies Private Limited has received PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation) approval for its Non-Sparking (Ex nR) electrical equipment, specifically the PF-11-D-L-WXOB model. The certificate, issued under Approval No. A/P/HQ/RJ/104/5534 (P621716) on January 29, 2025, ensures compliance with IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-15:2017 standards. This certification confirms that the approved equipment is suitable for use in Zone 2, Gas Group IIC hazardous areas, which are typically found in industries dealing with petroleum, chemicals, and gases.

The certification is based on test reports from CIMFR, Dhanbad (Certificate No. CMF24INEx0330, dated 22/10/2024), verifying the safety and construction of the equipment. PESO mandates strict compliance with the approved design, usage of certified accessories, and proper marking of equipment with manufacturer details, certification numbers, and protection levels. The certificate remains valid until December 31, 2029.
